I do this a couple times a year. It’s fun to look back and see what has become of sites I’ve sold in the past. Some people buy a website and do great things with it, while others let it die.  I’m not going to go too far back, just the last couple of sites I’ve sold.

Forum Business Blog

I owned this site for a couple of months. I posted on it a couple times a week and got the site to PR1. Ultimately, it became too difficult to think of new topics and I needed some quick cash so I was forced to sell it about a month or so ago. It looks like the new has posted one time since buying the site and really hasn’t done much of anything else. I still think this site has good potential if the owner posts daily.

Mugdish

A lot of people were surprised that I sold Mugdish. I loved that site, mostly because I enjoyed posting about sports everyday.  I also really liked the domain. But much like my other sales, I needed the money… so it had to go. The site is still PR3, but it looks like the new owner hasn’t posted 1 time since buying the site from me back in December. Why spend hundreds on a site and never do anything with it?

Gears of War Forum (NSFW)

I didn’t include a link to this site, because apparently the new owner put Adult Friend Finder ads all over it. I actually didn’t sell this site, although I tried… I was forced to let the domain drop because no one wanted to buy it.

Ryan Howard Fan Site

I sold this site as well because I needed a few bucks, and didn’t really feel like posting on it anymore. New owner hasn’t touched it.

Joe Mauer Fan Site

Horrayyy! Finally a website I sold actually has an active owner who is still posting. I really didn’t want to let this one go. It was a matured domain with solid PR and good rankings. I got some good money for it though, so I’m not too sad. Once again, I needed the money and didn’t really care for this site… so the best thing to do was dump it.

So there you have it. A quick look back on what used to be mine.
