Well it’s been about 3 weeks since I posted Murdered By Google. For those of you who don’t follow my blog, it was about 3 weeks ago that Google completedly deindexed 90% of my two biggest websites. I’m talking thousands of indexed pages just disappeared, and with them, thousands of uniques visitors were also gone.

3 weeks later and my two big websites are no better off then they were. In fact, they may even be worse off. Traffic is still down something like 50%. Earnings are down big time as well. It’s tough going from such an amazing high to virtually rock bottom in a day. It happens to a lot of website owners. You just have to absolutely follow Google’s rules, or else they will get you.

Below are screenshots of statcounter for the two different sites. You can see the sites with normal traffic in August and September, then October is lower (because I got hit at the end of October) and now my traffic for November is on pace for hardly half of what it used to be. I’m disgusted and still angry… yet there’s nothing I can do about it now but wait.

I’ve already removed TLA (which I thought was the culprit) and added no follow tags to all outbound links on my two websites. I also applied for reinstatement in Google Webmaster Tools. Still no word yet. I initially heard it will take about 6-8 weeks for me to start seeing rankings come back. That means somewhere around January 1st I may get lucky with some SERPs.

It’s getting hard for me to even pay my hosting bills and other internet expenses. Luckily my Tim Tebow fan site has taken off and is helping to make up for the lost revenue (even though it’s only a fraction of what I was making). Until then, I’ll continue to stick it out through the new year in hopes that Google will bring me back.
