Would You Pay For SEO Services?
I’m wondering how many of you out there pay for SEO services versus just doing it yourself? I’ve never paid for any SEO services, but have been tossing around the idea of it for some time now. I feel like I’ve done the best I can for a couple of sites I own. If I’ve done everything I know how to do, and still can’t get a top ranking in Google or Yahoo, then maybe it’s time to hire SEO experts to finish the job.
At what price though? Would $100 a month be reasonable? How about $500 a month? I guess it depends on how popular the keywords are and how much profit you expect from the increase in traffic.
Paying for SEO might be hard to do, because it’s not something you see results for right away. It would take months to move up in the rankings. You can drive traffic to your website in other ways, such as PPC or advertising, but they don’t provide the long term benefits of strong SERP rankings. On the other hand, nothing is guaranteed in search engines. You could spend $1000 to get to page 1, and then 2 months later get bumped down or banned and there’s nothing you can do about it.
It’s a tough debate. I’ve always been a believer of ‘it takes money to make money.’ I have to imagine a lot of the ‘big players’ spend money on SEO, or are experts themselves. I am not an expert. My knowledge on the subject is limited.
So would you pay money for SEO services? How much would you pay to get page 1 rankings for all your big keywords?

i think the value of SEO is changing with the lack of Page Rank. Or at least without a current increase in PR, i think the perspective of SEO may be changing for many web masters. Keywords, updating of content, and relevant information are all still important but without PR in the picture how pages get the SERP they do can still be a bit of a mystery right now i think.
I have a hard time putting my chips on the table if I don’t believe there is a chance I can win.
I think the Key is Content and SEO is becoming less controlable, so you might be throwing your money away.
I feel the same way with Richard. And Google is supposed to change the rules often?
We probably need to create a way to still drive traffic disregarding what happens to Google ranking. A number of blog authorities working together to maintain the recommended list could be one way.
i think it depends on you if you want to be on the top of the rank. if you do have a business i would prefer to be on the top. but having a SEO service would cost you, some charges of the company will be affordable and some will be expensive. i suggest to look for the best SEO service so that you won’t regret paying for such service.

What about a lump sum fee to see the initial results and then when you have hit that plateau, a reasonable monthly fee to maintain?
Sofna, the problem is it could take 3-6 months before you see any results at all. You can’t SEO overnight.
only thing i can say about this article it’s very informative. discussing how to choose a SEO company in detail is indeed a big help for those who wanted to hire a SEO service. continue doing sharing good article which eventually give information to those who want to know about a certain topic.
I realize that it does not happen over night, but anyone ready to invest in SEO work should know this. It is a long term investment.
Well this is what I’ve learned over the years.
When to pay for SEO services:
1. If you absolutely have no idea about seo and do not want to learn about it.
2. If you have a website that totally needs to be redone in order for seo to be effective.
3. Don’t have the time or resources to do it yourself.
When not to pay for seo services:
1. When you can do it yourself and have the time to be patient, learn and make it grow.
Also, there some content management systems that come with on-site seo built in. If you publish great, original content consistently, then the links and in turn search engine traffic will come.
Best, Arthur
$100 a month!?!? Most firms charge at least $100/hour. If you are in a competitive niche, you’ll need to throw down some serious cash to see any results. The only thing that should determine whether the cost is worth it is if you are getting a good return. So if you spend $5K a month, but you are getting $10K out of it, it’s probably a good use of the money.
Assuming of course you hire an SEO firm that actually knows what its doing…

I wanna pay for SEO service, unfortunately I’m not satisfied with the quotation yet. The price (for me) is very high. I know my industry is competitive but …can some one help me?
