Blogrush: 3 Days Later
It’s been three days since I added Blogrush to my blog. I’ve had a lot of people ask me how it’s doing. Does it really work? So today I thought I would show you screenshots of my Blogrush Dashboard and maybe we can figure this out together. There’s no doubt my blog traffic has gone up some since installing Blogrush, the only problem is my Statcounter doesn’t show where the traffic is coming from. So I’ll assume it’s coming from people clicking my headlines on other blogs with Blogrush.
The first screenshot shows Syndication Credits Earned. According to Blogrush: Users earn “syndication credits” (the right to have their blog post titles shown inside a widget on another related blog) based on their own traffic (loads of the widget) as well as the traffic of other users they refer to BlogRush.

Having my server bug out on me the last 2 days hasn’t helped my case. That’s why you see in downward slope in my traffic totals. However, I have no control over the downward slope in my Referral networks traffic. As you can see in the screenshot below, I only have 1 blogger in my referral network. The screenshot below also shows my Current Credit Balance, which I’m assuming translates to the number of times my blog headlines will appear on other blogs.

The more bloggers you refer, the more credits and traffic you will receive.
Below you will see a screenshot of my Activity by Generation. I’m not sure if this shows how many uniques I’ve had come to my website or if it shows the number of times my blog headlines have been shown on other Blogrush users. I’m leaning towards the latter, because my traffic hasn’t gone up that much. On my traffic screenshot above, it shows my traffic steady at 120 or so.

The final screenshot I have to show is Syndication Activity. This also could mean the number of times my blog titles are shown on other blogs. I’m confsued, and their ‘help’ section doesn’t explain what these things mean. So if anyone out there can clarify this for me, please drop a comment.
So that’s where I stand now. My traffic has gone up. I don’t know if it’s high quality traffic though. My RSS numbers have been about the same all week, so I feel that if the traffic was high quality that some of those hundreds of new uniques would have added my feed. I’ll continue to run this for now. I don’t think it can hurt you… only help.

I have read very good reviews about the service. I just installed it today. Let’s see how it goes.
[...] Meanwhile, David Lithman posted his three-day experience with BlogRush and published screenshots of his stats, showing zero clicks in 629 impressions. [...]
Thanks for the honest review. I sometimes wonder if others manipulate their reviews on blogrush because they want it to be something more than it really is. But keep us up to date.
