PayPal Debit Card

This blog post is sponsored by Golf News and Photography Art.If you do a lot of transactions through Paypal, then you know it can be a pain to get your money. To do a straight bank transfers it can take up to 3-4 business days, so if you rquest money on a Friday…you may see it in your bank account on Wednesday. It’s hard to wait that long especially if you’re counting on the money to pays bills or something. After looking at the little PayPal Debit card logo in my account for like 2 years, I finally took the plunge and requested a PayPal debit card.

It’s completely free of charge. All you have to do is click a little submit button. No forms to fill out or anything. Some of the benefits of signing up for a Paypal debit card include:

  • Qualify to receive 1.0% cashback on purchases
  • Withdraw funds from your PayPal account at ATMs!
  • Pay for purchases wherever you see the MasterCard(TM) Logo
  • Get instant access to the money you receive

The 1% cash back perk comes if you have a business account and either promote Paypal on Ebay or on your website. I can do that easy enough. I won’t earn a lot of cash back because I don’t get thousands of dollars in my Paypal account like some people. I get a few bucks here and there from link sales. But still…$100 in transactions is a free $1.

Best of all, no more waiting 3-4 days for my money. Now when I’m out to lunch or dinner, I can just pay with my Paypal debit card. It will almost feel like I’m buying stuff for free since I will never see the money in my bank account. It should arrive in 2-4 weeks. The sooner, the better.

Web Venturer’s Interview

This blog post is proudly sponsored by Golf Equipment and Golf Pro.

Carl fromWeb Venturer’s has been very busy conducting internet entrepreneur interviews. When he asked me if I’d like to participate, I gladly said yes. Carl posted my interview over the weekend and it looks like I was the first one since his site launched.

This is the second time I’ve been interviewed about my web presence. My first interview was a little shorter than this one. Maybe because back then I wasn’t in the position I am in now. Not that I am some huge internet entrepreneur or anything, but I feel like I know a lot more now then I did 7-8 months ago when I was last interviewed.

One of the best questions Carl asked me was how I got a link on the famous John Chow dot Com. I get that question all the time. If you want to know the answer, check out my entire interview: A Chat With David Lithman.

My Path to Dot Com Mogul Status

This blog post is proudly sponsored by Golf Products and Golf Merchandise.

Becoming a Dot Com Mogul is no easy task. A lot of internet entrepreneurs (anyone who makes money online in my opinion) aspire to one day achieve Mogul status. What does it take to earn the title of Dot Com Mogul? Stephen Fung provided us with a dot com mogul checklist. Let’s see how I stack up.

1. Your income must come about as a result of the money you make from the Internet - NOCHECK! I earn most of my money from my 40 hr/wk job, and currently only make money online as a part time hobby.

2. The minimum internet income level is $10,000 a month (you cannot add income from other sources to hit this $10K level) - NOCHECK! I’m not even close!

3. You have no jobs outside of the internet - NOCHECK! I have a full-time job.

4. You have a personal blog with your name as the domain name - CHECK! My first sign of success…

5. Your blog must be updated at least once per week - CHECK! I’m pretty good about updating my blog on a daily basis … just not on weekends.

6. A Google search of your name must be at the #1 spot - CHECK!

7. You must be willing to help dot com mogul wannabes - CHECK! I get messages on MSN all the time from people looking for help. Hit me up on my contact page if you have any questions.

8. Give time, money, or anything of value to a charitable cause each month. - CHECK! I can’t afford a lot of money, but I do usually give a few bucks here and there to the human society at the local pet stores and when stores are running Miracle Network campaigns.

9. Personally help at least one person establish their online presence via a blog or website or help them enhance one they already have every month. - SEMICHECK! I haven’t really taken 1 person under my wing, but like #7 says, I do give out help and advice whenever anyone needs it.

Well, I’m only 3 parts away from reaching Dot Com Mogul status. Unfortunately for me, the 3 I’m missing are the most important. Especially that $10,000/month deal.

I’ve got a lot of work to do before I can put myself on the same level as John and Stephen, but little by little, I’ll keep chopping away.

MP3, OGG, AAC Audio Converter

I know I’m not the only one who has tried to convert wav files to mp3s and vice versa. It can be quite complicated if you don’t have the right software. FXBear is a new, all-in-one audio converter. FXBear gets rid of the confusion and messy steps. It’s a very powerful tool, yet at the same time extremely user friendly.

The software enables you to convert almost every type of audio file you can think of…it’s not just an MP3 converter. You can also convert WAV, WMA, OGG, AAC, AC3, ADPCM, AIFF, AMR, A/u-LAW, MP2, MPC, DSP, GSM, and VOX.

FXBear allows you to try their software during a 15-day free trial period. After the trial you can purchase the software for as little as $14.95 a year. Whether you’re an audio buff and need an OGG Converter or a MAC user and need an AAC Converter, this software does it all in a user friendly fashion.

A $200 Surprise

This blog post is proudly sponsored by Science Forum.

It’s been awhile since I kicked butt with Azoogle, but things are still going steady… On pace for around $40-50 this month. The ringtone offer on Gator Envy is by far my biggest Azoogle earner. I love getting $13-$14 per lead. I’m convinced that once football season starts up, I’ll be making a lot more money from this site through Azoogle.

Yesterday, when I came home from work I stopped to get the mail. I noticed a small envelope with a return address from Azoogle. ‘No way this could be a check,’ I thought. Afterall, I haven’t sent Azoogle my W-9 form yet. But sure enough when I opened it, there was a check for $200.53 looking right at me. This check came just in time! I needed the extra cash.

So I went up to the store, Publix for those of you in the South, to cash my check. A funny thing, the cashier handed me $300 instead of $200! I noticed her counting a little too much when I was standing at the register, but there were a couple people standing around so I didn’t want to recount it in front of her. I took the money outside near my car and recounted it. Sure enough, she gave me an extra $100. I went back inside and returned it to her. He gave me the biggest smile in the world and a huge ‘thank you’. That $100 would have come out of her pocket had it not been returned.

I felt really good after returning the $100. I know a lot of people out there probably would have kept it because they would feel like if the store makes a mistake then that’s their problem. But you know what, it’s still stealing. Returning the money is still the right thing to do. If someone leaves their keys on the counter at a store, does that mean you can take them and steal their car? No.

I really like Azoogle. I don’t like have the only payment option is a check, but they run a lot of good offers that you can make money from. I mean $13 for a ringtone lead?! You can’t beat that.

I need to explore more options on how to incorporate lead offers into my websites, and I suggest you do the same.

If you don’t have Azoogle, then you can sign up from my referral link here.

Using MyBlogLog to Increase Your Traffic

This post is sponsored by a dutch mortgage site: Financiele Hypotheek related to the Effecten Hypotheek.

Today I’ll share with you a very simple and fast, yet effective way to increase your traffic using MyBlogLog. Almost every webmaster blog uses MyBlogLog… you know it as the 5 images on my sidebar of people who visit here. If you aren’t a member, if shows you a picture at the top saying ‘Join this community’ or something.

Some people have pictures of themselves, others have pictures that grab reader’s attention. You’ll often see someone using an image of a sexy girl, or in my case an huge great white shark ready to bite through your monitor. I picked the image of the shark because whenever someone see’s that image on the MyBlogLog they instantly know it’s me and associate that image with my blog. I could have used a picture of myself, but then bloggers who don’t know me well would be like ‘who’s that guy’ instead of ‘hey the shark guy came to my site’.

So anyways, if you aren’t on MyBlogLog already, then sign up…and get yourself a snazzy avatar that people can easily recognize. Next is the traffic building part. Just start clicking away. All you have to do is click on the images in your BlogLog and visit their profiles. Once looking at their profiles, make sure you go to their blogs. This will automatically put you in the top spot on that bloggers MyBlogLog. Then click the 5 avatars on that blog, and do the same…eventually you will reach hundreds of blogs you never knew existed and you’ll be sitting in that top spot on every one of their BlogLogs.

Sure you won’t last long at the top, but while you’re at #1 position for 100 blogs, you are bound to get a couple of hits from people looking to find similar sites to the ones they’re currently reading.

It sounds kind of spammy, but it’s not if you actually take some time to look over the sites you’r clicking on. I’ve found some very good blogs that I never knew about. I usually hang around the blogs on my friends list and don’t venture too far beyond that. But using this MyBlogLog traffic building strategy, you can find new friends too.

Now ifyou really want to make a difference…. post a comment on every blog you go to :-)
