Adding Kontera To This Blog
You might have noticed from browsing my blog there there is a new form of advertisement. I was accepted into Kontera yesterday. I currently only have two sites accepted, so I won’t be putting Kontera on my entire network yet. I’ll slowly introduce it and see how much I earn from it.
From what I’ve heard is they don’t pay out exceptionally well, but any increase in revenue is a good one. Confused about what Kontera is? According to their website:
What is a ContentLink ?
A contextually relevant keyword that is discovered in real-time on a web page from within Kontera´s vast network of publishers, and is automatically turned into a link to the most relevant ad from among Kontera´s thousands of advertisers. With ContentLink™ publishers generate incremental revenue while advertisers reach their most targeted audience on a Cost-Per-Click basis.
When do you get paid?
We will mail you a check within 30 days after the end of each calendar month that ContentLinkâ„¢ ads are running on your site if your earned balance is US $100 or more. If your balance is less than $100, we will send you a check at the end of the first month that your balance reaches $100.
I imagine it will take me a couple of months to accumulate $100 in Kontera, but it will be worth it in the long run if any of my sites take off.

Nice to see all the monetization testing you’re doing lately. I think it’s a great idea to test these out and see how they perform. It all helps in your journey toward employment freedom.
I’m new to blogging, and have been reading a lot about Kontera recently. It seems like a really good way to monetize your blog. But what I’m afraid of is that I wont be approved in the future because I won’t get the 500k hits that I need to be approved. I have been reading that people have been approved and they are new to blogging and havn’t used a referral to sign up. Such as johnchow or joell comm.
I hope I get accepted to Kontera… Its ads is one of the best looking ones around.
