Why does Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki (besting selling Rich Dad Poor Dad author and real estate mogul) want me to be right? That is a very interesting question. Why did two of the best selling business and personal finanance authors decide to collaborate on one book? The book is called “Why We Want You to be Rich” and its the next book on my reading list.

My girlfriend picked this book out for me for Christmas, and I’m just now getting to it. I have seen Trump books in the book stores many times. It’s hard to miss his face if you walk down the business book isle. However, I’ve never picked one of them up. I have read Kikosaki’s famous Rich Dad Poor Dad over last summer. So as you can imagine I was excited when I finally picked the book up last night.

So what’s this book about? Why do they want us to be rich? Why would Trump want to tell his secrets to wealth? The main reason why is because America is in a world of crap (keepin’ is family friendly) in the next couple of years. Why in the next couple of years? Because the first wave of 75 million baby boomers are going to begin retiring.

Americans are grown up with an entitlement mentality. They expect the government to help them out. The problem lies with Social Security and Medicare and other government funded things. The baby boomer generation paid social security tax, however there just isn’t going to be any money for the government to pay them because there aren’t enough people in my generation working and paying taxes.

Trump and Kiyosaki are both teachers. Theyboth have enough money to retire today and have their great grandchild they haven’t even had yet live wealthy their entire lives. They don’t keep working for the money. The don’t write books and go to seminars and make TV shows or videos games for the money. They do it because they want to fix our society, and the best way to do it is to teach people how to be rich.

The first step in the process is to get rid of this entitlement mentality. “Problems aren’t the issue, “Kiyosaki said. “We all have money problems…even you and I. It’s how we solve the problem that’s the issue.” People need to stop expecting the government to just give them a handout. People need to go out there and create their own wealth.

I’m only about 40 pages deep into the book, but that’s that jist of what I understand so far. As I read more and more, I will update you on what’s happening and more reasons why Trump and Kiyosaki want us to be rich.
