I love football, and by reading this blog you can probably tell that I am a huge Jaguar fan. I have season tickets, so of course I was at the Monday Night Football game last night vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jaguars defensive completely manhandled the Steelers. The Steelers only cross the 50 yard line 1 time in the entire game and that was on their very first drive. It was great smashmouth football. What a game to go to. What a game to win.

I have a couple things going on with my sites, but no new major advancements:

  • Ryan Howard Fan Site
  • Adsense Goal
  • Back Burner
  • Pet Cookies

Ryan Howard Fan Site
Along with my Joe Mauer Fan Site and Randy Moss Fan Site I have almost complete my third fan site for Philadelphia Phillies 1st baseman, Ryan Howard. I was able to get a great domain, in my opinion, in ryanhoward.info. Ryan Howard leads the major leagues in home runs and rbi’s, and could be this year’s NL MVP. He will be a star in baseball for a decade or more. I still have to upload some pictures, fix the contact info, and upload some more content before the site is really ready to go. But like the other two, this site is going to be loaded with unique blog posts on a daily basis written by me.

Adsense Goal
For 5 days in a row now I have surpassed $10/day in Adsense earnings, and I really don’t see this cooling down anytime soon. My original goal when I started this blog was to have at least $10/day by December 31st. Well, if my earnings continue for another few days I am going to officially declare myself ‘achiever of my goals.’ There is some controversary that goes into this though. I did not earn all the money by building it myself. My biggest earner is a site that I purchased, Myspace Bypass for $130. As of right now have have already earned back exactly half of my initial purchase of the site. By mid October I will have earned $130 from the site , and from that point on it will all be profit, except the small hosting fees. So I’m not sure if I can say I achieved my goals just yet, because I had to buy a site to get there.

Back Burner
I mentioned in some earlier posts about working on a project with a friend not in the business. I still believe this project has great potential, however we’ve pushed it to the back burner. I don’t know why, but neither of us can really find some time to get this site off the ground.

Another site I put on the back burner was one I was working on with Andreas Bard, a fellow web entrepreneur. We have both been caught up in our own projects to work on a shared one. That is the problem when you work with a partner. If you both aren’t fully committed, then the work suffers.

Pet Cookies
The final topic of the day is a new site I am launching. It is called Pet Cookies. You can buy really cheap pet treat and cookie recipes. Why buy your pet unhealthy treats from the store, when you can make gourmet treats at home? Pet Cookies comes with tons of recipes for dog and cat treats. I’ve had the domain for this site for a couple months, I just never got around to developing it. Petcookies.net is a great domain in my opinion. Martketing this site will be hard. I wonder if spending $25 on Adwords would result in enough sales to cover the initial advertising cost?

Until tomorrow….
