The Highest Earning Internet Entrepreneur

Who is the highest earning internet entrepreneur ?? That’s a good question. We should ask Google.

Google search results for Highest Earning Internet Entrepreneur

#1 Result: Lithman.net

What?!?! According to Google, I am the highest earning internet entrepreneur. How do you like that? Maybe they need to scroll over and read my average daily earnings. This just goes to show you can’t always find what you’re looking for in the top Google results.

Bulletin Trader
BulletinTrader.com is still kicking. 100+ uniques in it’s first two days, and probably will end up with about 60-70 today due to lack of promotion. Several people are reporting deals, so if you’re looking for quick promotion, you better check it out.

Historum
My history forum, Historum, reached 5,000 total posts this morning. It is growing rapidly still with over 250 members in about 2 and 1/2 months. I hope to have 500 members by the end of the year and 20,000 posts. These are lofty goals, but with constant promotion I think I will reach them.

Speaking of Historum, I added a history link directory to the site. I have already sold 1 featured link for a year for $12. Not bad after having the directory live only a couple of days. A few more of those and I could live off that income … not really :-/

Fantasy Football Advice
I listed my fantasy football blog for sale on DigitalPoint. It has 53 views so far, but no bids. I really just don’t have time to handle this project right now and was hoping to pick up a quick $30 or so.

That’s about it for today. I hope everyone has a good weekend. I’m going to the movies tonight with my girlfriend, playing golf tomorrow morning with dad, and then going to the Panthers vs Jaguars football game Saturday night. Should be an awesome weekend!

Myspace Bulletin Trader

Last night I was talking with a friend on MSN. After discussing some ideas, we came across this one. I am please to introduce MySpace Bulletin Trader at http://www.bulletintrader.com

This is a new forum/community that is solely geared towards buying, selling, and trading MySpace bulletins. I have already had a PM from a member who has made 2 sales and has 6 other people in contact with him! And this is only after being live for 15 hours! I launched the site this morning and so far the forum has about 15 members and a couple bulletin offers.

MySpace bulletins are a great way to promote a new site. The bring instant, short term traffic to your website. Bulletins are not the long term answer and do not provide long term results like SEO, but if your site needs a quick boost or pump, then bulletins are a great way.

I’d love to see this site take off. It only cost me $7.20 to build, and that was all domain costs. Instead of trying to browse other big online marketplace forums like Digitalpoint or Sitepoint, you can find all your bulletin needs in one place.

So check it out, register if you’d like. I might think up a contest in the next couple of days by giving out free bulletins to people who post.

Comment on this post and let me know if you like the idea.

So I Joined a CPA Program

It’s been a slow couple of days for me when it comes to my websites. I’ve been slacking a bit with my content writing. I don’t know what’s going on. I need to get focused and back on track. Here’s what’s going on:

  • Future Project
  • CPAEmpire
  • Bootstrapping

Future Project
Two of my buddies and myself are going in together to form a massive web site. I can’t quite disclose what the web site is yet. We do have a domain name and have a lot of the site completed. Jeff is doing most of the programming side and technical stuff. Don and myself will deal with the advertising/marketing/promotion aspects of the site. Our goal is to take this site to the top of its genre. If everything goes according to plan, we can have 1000 uniques a day by the second week. $300/day is the ultimate goal. Hopefully we can make it.

We are going to be putting a lot of time, and money, into this site. Unique content is the key to making this site stand out from the rest of the pack.

CPAEmpire

I was referred to CPA Empire by a friend of mine who pretty much assured me I could be making a lot more money online if I used CPA advertising as well. These guys provide those advertisements you see that say “Punch the rabbit” and have a little dancing rabbit you can click on to punch in the face. They are fun ads, I have clicked on them before when I feel like punching things. I haven’t set it up on any of my sites yet, but I will let you know when I do!

Bootstrapping
I have heard good things about the book Bootstrapping Your Business. It is a concept on how to start a business (online) without having a lot of money. I am not sure what the methods are because I haven’t read it. The book website provides a very in depth synopsis though. I’m going to pick this book up tonight on my way home from work. It’s only $11 at Borders so if it doesn’t pan out it’s not a huge loss.

That’s about it right now. I am seriously considering getting a business LLC set up to help me manage all this and better control my finances. Once I have the time and money to fill out the necessary forms, I will take action.

Directory Submissions

Does anyone else think submitting your sites to web directories is the most tedious, boring process? Yet at the same time, it is one of the most rewarding. I understand now why webmasters will pay people to submit their sites for them. It took me almost 1 hour to submit 5 sites to like 5 directories. But if you can submit your sites to 5 directories a day, Google will have some serious love for you with all those backlinks.

Every webmaster really should take advantage of submitting to free, no reciprocal directories. No matter how long and boring it takes you. You can find a long list of free directories to submit to in DigitalPoint’s Solicitations & Announcements forum.

Some people also buy featured listings on directories. And on the extremely popular directories, you will have to pay for regular listings too. These directories are generally high in PageRank or have a lot of traffic. I personally would not pay much more than a few bucks for a directory listing. But maybe that is just me?

My MySpace Directory has been getting a little over 80 uniques a day. Those are legit uniques too. There are not coming from spamming bulletins or anything. They come from Google and backlinks. I have decided to stop giving out free regular links. Webmasters can still submit their site for free though provided they give a reciprocal link as well. Prices are now $1 for a regular link and $5 for a featured link. And that is per month. Pretty cheap I think, especially since the site is on the rise.

Working Online

One of my online friends, Bob Buskirk, made a very interesting post on his blog. It was about getting a ‘real’ job. It links to an extremely popular Sitepoint thread, which can be viewed here. Hundreds of Sitepoint members voiced their opinions on working for a business, or owning a business. Many of them went through hard times, having to deal with unsupportive parents, spouses or friends. Many of them were or still are on the wrong end of belittling comments like “you just play on the computer all day” or “you won’t make any money online” or “since you’re not doing anything can you help me”.

The web business owner doesn’t get the respect that he or she deserves. It seems like people only accept it as a legitimate job when you show them a fat check. That makes it extremely difficult for the struggling web entrepreneur or the ones who are just starting out, like me. We put in tons of hours and hard work to build websites that will eventually be profitable. We don’t have instant results to show spouses or family members that doubt us.

I am lucky enough to have a supportive family and girlfriend. My parents understand that I want to own my own business, preferably an online one. My girlfriend hounds me from time to time saying I spend too much time on the computer, but that is understandable. Owning websites is like an addiction and if you aren’t careful with it, you can alienate yourself from the people who matter most to you. My girlfriend gives me a hard time every now and then, but ultimately I think she realizes that this is my passion and that one day it will support us financially.

Everyday I get closer and closer to day I can quit my job and work for myself. It is a dream of mine. It is important to have inspiration and support around you everyday. If you are feeling down or want to read other people’s stories, then please read the Sitepoint post I linked to above. It’s always nice to hear a success story.

Need Myspace Links

Pretty late post today compared to when I normally post around noon. I had a busy day at work today and was unable to post on my lunch break. Here’s whats going on:

  • Employee Golf
  • Fantasy Sports Advice Update
  • Looking for MySpace Links
  • Adsense Update

Employee Golf
So we had an employee golf outing yesterday. I am in the middle of lessons so I wasn’t expecting to play well, however, I actually impressed myself. A couple members in my group were scratch golfers, so I got suckered into playing the back tees. I shot a 97. If I was playing the men’s tees it probably would have been a 93 or 94. My putting was so money yesterday.

But the highlight of the day was my near eagle on a 310 yard par 4. I came 5 yards away from driving the green, leaving me a 30-35 foot putt for eagle from the fringe. I hit a strong putt and the ball ended up hitting the flag stick !!! If the flag had been pulled, the ball probably wuold have gone on. I ended up with my only birdie of the day. I have never had an eagle before. If I keep up with my lessons and keep playing, I should get into the 80s soon.

Fantasy Sports Advice Update
I recently set up a fantasy sports advice blog. I have completed the theme and already made my very first post! I provided several points on why Larry Johnson should be the number 1 overall pick in every fantasy football draft. If you’re a fan, you have to check it out!

Looking for MySpace Links
Layout Pimps is looking for more links. If you run a myspace resource site, please let me know and we can exchange links. My site is currently getting about 300 uniques a day.

The Myspace Directory I own is only allowing free regular links for 3 more days. So submit your site now if you haven’t done so already.

Adsense Update
After a poor day yesterday with only $1.36 in earnings, I am back up today over the $5.00 mark with a few hours to go. Could $6.00 be in my future tonight? I hope so! I haven’t done and promoting or advertising at all today. I guess I just got luck with a few high paying clicks.

On a side note. EasyGolfTips.net got indexed by google. That site is well on its way.

Have a great night!
